Streakedpelt walked up to the large rock and lept up onto it. She felt the sun's warm rays and began to pur. Stretching quietly, she noticed that there was a mouse running across the leaves. Oh, well. It's just a mouse, she thought. Streakedpelt laid down, closed her eyes, and shivered with joy.

The next moment, there was a flash of almost reddish black and all that was left where the mouse was was a little pile of fur and blood. The grass resumed it's gental wind-caused sway...

Immediately, Streakedpelt's head jerked up. Her ears pricked and she tasted the air. She wasn't familiar with the scent at all. It's definately not SunClan, she thought. And it's not any other clan, either. It has to be a loner. She became still. Would this loner reveal himself? She doubted this. But if he did, she didn't know what she would do. StreakedPelt was more curious than angry. How stupid I am. My first encounter with a loner, and I'm not going to chase him off SunClan territory? he shook her head slightly and lay back down. She would just forget the whole thing. Yes, she thought sleepily, forgetting is good. The sun penetrated her pelt, streaked with grey.Little did she know, she would not be able to forget.
